The day after the ultimate chocolate drink taste test, I unwillingly detoxified myself and resorted to taking loperamide to save myself from death by crap. Little did I know that loperamide would put me in a worse situation; it was still gonna kill me through constipation!
It was only a matter of time when I decided to change my diet -- drastically if I may add. I thought of turning vegetarian, but since I could not possibly live without chicken and seafood, I decided to take things a little slowly by refraining from having mammal meat only. So now I can brag that I am pork and beef free since March 23! (don't you just love rhyming?)
So what do you call a mammal-meat-free person exactly? I tried googling it but it turns out there's no term used for semi-vegetarians who eat chicken and seafood. Semi-vegetarians who consume poultry meat (chicken) are pollotarians, while semi-vegetarians who consume seafood are pescatorians. So how come there is no term for us seafood and chicken-loving semi-vegetarians? How about chickseatarians? (fine, corny na...)
So far, it's been easy for me to avoid pork and beef. I order fillet o fish at McDonalds, chicken at Jollibee and KFC and fish everywhere else. It's a good thing that healthy dishes are now on the menu of most restaurants. It's isaw that's making me think twice about this new diet i'm on though. You see, I pass by an isawan every night on my way home from work. And being the isaw addict that I am, it's hard for me to resist a few sticks, specially when they're free! L recently bought isaw for all of us at the condo, my mouth was saying no but the voice inside my head was shouting "go go go!" Well, my will power is stronger and I am proud to say that I am still mammal-meat-free since March 23! YEY!
wish me luck, I really hope I can do this for a long time, if not forever. =)
**updated 05/18/10: the diet only lasted for 1 month, 3 weeks and 3 days. I had bak kut teh so there goes my mammal-meat free diet!
